A native of Newnan, Georgia, Dr. Will Thomas returned to the area to join Piedmont Cancer Institute after the completion of his fellowship training at the University of Virginia. He treats patients with all types of cancer and blood disorders given his experience in oncology and hematology.
Dr. Thomas has co-authored several manuscripts and abstracts for publication in scientific journals and for presentation at national meetings. He values providing the latest treatments in a manner that emphasizes shared decision making with his patients. He sees patients at the Newnan and Fayetteville locations of PCI.
Dr. Thomas is a fan of live music and Atlanta sports, particularly the Braves. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with his wife and toddler.
I arrived early and I was called about 10 minutes later. After the young lady had my blood samples Dr. Thomas appeared between 10-15 minutes after reviewing the results. The young lady at the front desk gave me a big smiile after she checked me in which is nice early in the morning.
Dr Thomas's nurse Katy was very kind and helpful at my appointment and during a follow up call.
It was my first visit with Dr Thomas. All went well and I was surprisingly comfortable. Amazing bedside manners.
Dr. Thomas smiled when he entered the exam room and introduce himself. He is soft spoken and kind. He went over my file with me asking questions and listened for any issues I had. Dr. Thomas is very personable and funny. I liked him immediately.
If needed, I definitely would recommend Dr. Thomas. He is so young to have completed his residency which I feel he is quite intelligent.
Dr Thomas is knowledgeable and thorough. He explained my test results and corrective measures. He answered my questions and inquired if I had more questions or concerns. He has a great bedside manner and is warm and compassionate.
Dr. Thomas is a patient, knowledgeable and a very kind doctor. He takes his time to explain everything to you as well as giving you the time to ask questions about the whole process. Dr. Thomas' demeanor & knowledge offers peace to your mind about serious concerns that can oftentimes overwhelm you as a patient. He comes HIGHLY recommended by me. You will NOT regret selecting him as your doctor.
Dr. Thomas is a wonderful, caring hematologist who always takes the time to ask the right questions, discuss the changes noted from your last visit, and gives you a sense that he is always looking out for your best interests. This is a difficult field that he works in and no one likes to find out that they have a blood cancer when they least expected it. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such a supportive professional.
Visited Dr. Thomas on referral from my rheumatologist. He was amazing! He assured me that we would find out what's going on, was reassuring and understanding and listened intently as I explained my symptoms and illnesses. I would recommend him to any and everyone who is worried about their blood health and needs a kind, compassionate doctor.
Dr. Thomas was very nice and he knew all about my health history! I was impressed that he had checked my records so he could give me the best care possible. He was very thorough and took the time to discuss my needs without trying to rush me out of the office like some Dr.s do. I highly recomend him!
