Colon Cancer Support Group
Connect with others in our hour-long support group for those diagnosed with colorectal cancer who are currently receiving treatment. In this group led by Erika Flippin, LMSW, an oncology social worker, you will have an opportunity to share personal experiences, learn ways of coping and helpful resources in a safe and caring environment.
In this group, participants will:
- reduce feelings of loneliness, anxiety, and distress
- learn new ways of coping
- increase feelings of hope and empowerment
- receive general education regarding community-based resources
- learn to communicate better with medical teams and loved ones
