Drs. David Eagle and Eric Mininberg Elected Chair and Vice Chair of OneOncology All-Physician Advisory Board
OneOncology, the national platform for independent oncology practices, announced today that David Eagle, MD, was elected Chair, and Eric Mininberg, MD elected Vice Chair of OneCouncil, OneOncology's all-physician advisory board for clinical and strategic initiatives.
Dr. Eagle, who practices at New York Cancer & Blood Specialists and chairs OneCouncil's Advocacy Committee, succeeds Dinesh Kapur, MD, the clinical director of research at Eastern Connecticut Hematology and Oncology, who served as OneCouncil chair from 2021 to 2023. Dr. Mininberg, who treats patients at Piedmont Cancer Institute in Atlanta, where he is also the practice's President, is OneCouncil's new Vice Chair.
"As OneCouncil chair, Dr. Kapur grew the portfolio of initiatives OneCouncil oversees, and created foundational strategies for how OneOncology can enhance our partners' clinical objectives," said Dr. Davey Daniel, Chief Medical Officer, OneOncology. "I appreciate all Dr. Kapur accomplished and look forward to partnering with Drs. Eagle and Mininberg to continue empowering physicians across the platform with superior resources, insights, and education."
OneCouncil is a board composed of physician representatives from every OneOncology practice that taps into the expertise of its physician leaders to leverage the economies of scale and deep clinical, research, and practice management expertise across the platform's partners. OneCouncil's committees, each chaired by a physician, include Clinical Quality; Clinical Decision Support/Clinical Pharmacy; Education; Physician Communications; Precision Medicine; Technology; Clinical Research; Advocacy; and Clinical Innovation. Dr. Kapur was the second chair of OneCouncil succeeding Tennessee Oncology's President and Chief Strategy Officer, Natalie Dickson, MD, who served as OneCouncil's first chair.
